NOAA Fisheries’ Greater Atlantic Regional Office (GARFO) and Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) will host a collaborative workshop to discuss the challenges and solutions to fishing community resilience within our region, with a focus on the mid-Atlantic states. The workshop will be held June 4, 2018 at the The Grand Hotel (1045 Beach Ave, Cape May, NJ 08204; Reservations: 609-884-5611).
The workshop convenes mayors, community leaders, researchers, state and federal agency representatives, and members of the fishing industry. The workshop will strengthen community resilience and improve our understanding of the challenges facing the fishing industry and communities due to changing environmental, regulatory, and economic conditions.
