NOAA Fisheries and the Office of Law Enforcement will host three workshops for fishing industry members to help answer common questions about harassment and sexual assault/harassment, and to further support observers in the field. One of the workshops is scheduled for December 12th at 2:30 at the Westin Annapolis after the December 2025 Council meeting. 

The workshops will be hosted in-person and will have a hybrid option for those interested in participating virtually. Workshops are voluntary and the topics will include: what constitutes harassment, how to communicate safety-related concerns, how NOAA's Office of Law Enforcement follows up on harassment reports, and more. The workshop is expected to last approximately 50 minutes, consisting of a 30 minute presentation with time left for questions. Industry members are encouraged to attend.
