Harvesters, dealers, and fishermen are invited to attend the Northeast Federal Fishery Dependent Data Visioning Workshop on June 30 - July 1 in New Bedford, MA. This workshop is part of the Northeast Federal Fishery Dependent Data Visioning project, a coordinated effort aimed at improving the usefulness, timeliness, and delivery of fishery dependent data in the Greater Atlantic Region. Convened by GMRI and SMAST in partnership with NOAA Fisheries, the workshop aims to characterize future fishery dependent data needs and systems for the Greater Atlantic region.
Workshop participants will:
- Learn about the Northeast Federal Fisheries Dependent Data Visioning Project.
- Reflect on existing fishery dependent data systems.
- Identify key characteristics of an ideal fishery dependent data system.
