Golden Tilefish Multi-Year Specifications Framework (Framework 7)

Framework 7 to the Tilefish Fishery Management Plan made minor process related modifications to the golden tilefish management system that will improve the administration of the golden tilefish management system. More specifically, the framework:

1. Set catch and landings limits for the golden tilefish fishery for the 2022-2024 fishing years;

2. Changed the start of the golden tilefish fishing year from November 1 to January 1, resulting in a fishing year of January 1 – December 31; and

3. Modified the annual specifications process so that specifications would be set for the maximum number of years needed to be consistent with the Northeast Region Coordinating Council-approved stock assessment schedule.
